October 19th, 2018 ~Doors Open at 7pm, Show Starts at 8pm~Three Bands for $10!!!
Comprised of bassist Kris Pandierada, drummer Andrew Fasken and Guitarist/Vocalist Marko Woloshyn, Toronto’s Bike Thiefs absorb music as quickly as one would expect from a group of millennial audiophiles. Pandeirada cut his teeth writing hiphop beats in his basement, Woloshyn holed up in his room wringing the ink out of Elliott Smith sheet music and Fasken immersed himself in the world of 2000s post-punk, booking shows and playing in a handful of hardcore bands.
Bike Thiefs are a chatty post-punk band that have drawn comparisons to rock stalwarts Fugazi and Constantines as well as more contemporary acts like Parquet Courts and METZ. The band has been featured in national publications such as Exclaim!, New Noise Magazine and Impose Magazine, who called the band “different from anything you’ve probably ever heard.” Over the past two years Bike Thiefs have toured across Canada and The United States and have opened for several national acts including Moneen, The Dirty Nil and Duchess Says. The band’s latest release, Lean Into It, was recorded with Josh Korody (The Dirty Nil, Weaves) at Toronto’s Candle Recording.
Lean Into It is communal music. The white knuckle rhythm section leaves enough room for Woloshyn’s exuberant vocals and guitar feedback without letting him trip over his own jokes. On Lean Into It, the band has shied away from throat tearing vocals and hair flipping riffs in exchange for matter of fact speak-sing vocals and hypnotic drums, making for a band that would much rather be sincere than intense.
These Local Bands put on a great show! Check out their music:

One guy played with Son House, the other with Ali Farka Toure. So now, CanAfrica Blues: a playful, yet respectful collaboration by these unique, yet complimentary artists– each of whom mix traditional and contemporary blues and roots music from their own continents.
On the ground, it's an old school, vintage road adventure: the National Steel: jamming a big Lincoln across the continent, stopping in places large and small from coast to coast. The CanAfrica Blues Tour has it's sights set on 9 Canadian provinces. "No venue too large, too small, too grand or too humble." Songs and stories lived in the moment. Africa and America in joy and sorrow. CanAfrica Blues...

Nature Of | Edmonton, Alberta
In 2011, a collaboration of friends and musicians within the Edmonton skateboard community became Nature Of. Since their assembly, the five piece band has been writing music together while constantly evolving and developing a unique and organic sound. Since their first live performance, Steven Schneider, Cole Switzer, Kyla Rankine and Sydney Leard have been seen at venues all around their hometown of Edmonton, Alberta
For five years, the musicians in Nature Of have given thoughtful effort to crafting their songs and performances. In June of 2013, the band released their debut full length self titled album. It was recorded over a month long period at Riverdale Recorders in Edmonton with Juno Nominated Producer Scott Franchuk. The 10 song album was listed as one of the top 10 Edmonton records of 2014 by Gigcity.ca, and served as a benchmark contribution to the band receiving a $10,000.00 grant through Alberta Foundation for the Arts to be used for the recording of their second full length record. The album ‘Cherish’ is completed and now available worldwide.
With three cross-Canada tours under their belt, the group is steadily asserting themselves as contenders in music communities both in Alberta and across the country. With their honest music and modest attitude, Nature Of is sure to continue progressing and inspiring for years to come.
What kind of music does Little Miss Higgins play? Check out this Music Video! https://youtu.be/HdOpyXibvf0
From the Great Northern Plains of Western Canada, Little Miss Higgins struts and serenades her way, guitar in hand, lips blazoned red, onto any stage. As if she just drove in off the back-road of another time with gravel dust and a sunset trailing behind her, this pocket-sized powerhouse plays music brewed up in old-time country blues sprinkled with a little jazz and maybe a hint of folk. Whether it’s songs about passion or songs about panties, she writes about real things in a rooted and poetic way. This is all too true on her most recent award winning album, Across The Plains (2010).
